4. WORLD TOUR
The World Tour is where you get to compete against other vehicles in a specific class. Each
class has it's own level of difficulty. The harder the class, the more competitive your opponents
will be.
The classes are as follows: Safari class, SUV class, Hummer class, Truck class, Military
class, and Open class. To race these classes, you must purchase a vehicle that is allowed in the
class.
To race in the Open class, you must place 1st in all the other classes. If you do not place
1st in a class, you must race that class again and finish in 1st place before you can compete in
Open class. At the end of each race in the World Tour, you will be awarded a small amount of
credits, and "class points" which are used to determine your overall place in the class. Your
finishing position in the race will determine how many class points you receive. Remember, you
must place 1st in each of the classes to qualify to race Open Class.
NOTE: World Tour is not available in the Demo.
5. TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Q: I've installed the 3DFX version of the game but when I try to run the game it says it could
not detect Glide.
A: If you are not sure that you have a 3DFX Voodoo card then you need to install the software
version of Test Drive Off-Road 2.
Q: I have a 3DFX Voodoo 2 card and sometimes Test Drive Off-Road 2 does not work properly.
A: Replace your Glide drivers. Try the following:
a) Get the latest drivers from your card manufacturer
b) Get the latest drivers from 3Dfx (www.3dfx.com)
c) Use the drivers located on this CD in the \3DFX directory
Q: Sometimes when I exit the game my screen resolution has changed and my icons are rearranged.
A: This may be a problem with your video card and video card drivers. Either run your
desktop at 640x480 or contact your manufacturer for the latest drivers.
Q: Sometimes I experience problems with the game when it loses focus to another Windows program.
A: Close all other applications before running Test Drive Off-Road 2 (including Screen Saver).
Do not <ALT+TAB> or <CTRL/ALT+ESC> out of the game.
Q: I started a race, but my vehicle will not respond to my keyboard directional keys.
A: Make sure you have selected DIGITAL as your Controller setting in the Options menu.
Q: I have finished World Tour and now I want to reset the entire game to the original settings
as if I had never played the game, without having to uninstall.
A: Delete the TDOR2.CFG in the Test Drive Off-Road 2 directory.
